Betty Timshan Owen died peacefully may 21, 2015 at her home with family by her side. She was born 1926 in Ashtabula Ohio. She is pre deceased by her husband of 55 years, Charles D Owen and daughter Kathleen. She is survived by her sons Daniel and Timothy,of Lake Worth Fla. , and son Michael of Washington DC.
Betty Owen, one of the few women in her class, graduated from Ohio State University in 1947 with a degree in engineering. After raising her 4 children, returned to work and retired as a special education teacher in the Palm Beach County School System.
