Carlos Ignacio Moya

Carlos was born on July 31, 1929 in Pino, Santa Cruz del Sur, Cuba. His parents were Joaquin and Luisa Moya. Carlos was a very positive person, and optimistic on his outlook of life, he possessed a great sense of humor, was very friendly and everyone that knew him loved him. He was always ready to lend a hand to family and friends. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to everyone.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mariana Moya (Diego). His parents, Joaquin and Luisa Moya. His brothers: Felipe, Iran, Miguel and Luis. His sisters: Claudia, Ceila, Dora and Manuela.

He is survived by his daughters, Lucy Pflieger and Maria (Armand) Vieira. Six grandchildren, Jennifer Williams, Katie Williams, Alyssa Vieira, Brittany (Matt) Pflieger-Brill, Gabriella Cardenas and Alexander Cardenas. And his brother Enrique (Kike) Moya.

He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Argentina Fernandez, Marlene Diego and America (Alfonso) Cueto. His very special nephew Miguel (Yolanda) Moya, Jr., and Edward (Debbie) Fernandez, whom he loved like a son. His dear niece Olga Moya and many other loving cousins and extended family whom were a part of his everyday life, Edith, Melanie, Christopher, Daniel, Elizabeth, Tony, Isabella, Heidi, Harper, Eddie, Heidi, Raiden, Felix and Gerardo.

A special note of gratitude to our cousin Sandra Moran, who was an immense help throughout our father’s illness.

Funeral services will be private. A celebration of life will be announced on a future date.
