Charlie "Gene" Eugene Williams

Gene leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Linda; his sisters Patsy Roe and Florene Durham; his children Perry Williams, Shelley Williams, and Holly Robinson; his grandchildren Elizabeth Nunes, Dwayne Thrower, Danielle Myers, Jay Myers, and Terry Rizio; as well as numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Gene was born in Jasper, Alabama on September 2nd, 1935, to Charlie and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Williams. He moved to West Palm Beach, Florida in 1955, and married the love of his life Linda on November 27th, 1965. He spent the next 53 years raising his kids, owning & operating a construction company with his wife and son, and enjoying watching his family grow.

He was a devoted father & husband and loved being a grandfather. He loved to travel- to car races, camping, visiting family, and taking his granddaughter to every theme park in the state.

In 2018, Gene and Linda retired and moved to Okeechobee, Florida, where he spent his days pontoon-boating the waterways, working on his Corvette, and strengthening connections with family and friends.

Gene’s generous spirit, quick-witted humor, and infectious laugh will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A visitation for Gene will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461, followed by a funeral 3:00 PM, and a committal service at 4:00 PM at Lake Worth Memory Gardens, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461.
