
Cheryl Ann “Petey” Peterson, 63, of Lake Worth, FL, formerly of Wintersville, Ohio passed away on January 13, 2011, following a courageous battle with cancer with her devoted husband, Joel by her side.
Cheryl was born in Wintersville, Ohio on July 18, 1947, the daughter of the late Dorothy Campbell Peterson (2007) and Kenneth Ezra Peterson (1983).
Cheryl is survived by her husband of 29 years, Joel Taulman, whom she married on March 2, 1981. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Christine Peterson of Mingo Junction; her nephew, James Peterson and his wife, Rebecca and her niece, Ericka Peterson and her husband, Jan Poulsen. Cheryl will also be missed by many special friends in Florida and Columbus, Ohio.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Kenneth Peterson (1983).
Cheryl was a graduate of Wintersville High School and worked as a supervisor for the former Ohio Bell in Columbus, Ohio before moving to Florida. In Florida, she worked as an art gallery assistant.
Cheryl was an avid bowler and a dedicated Ohio State University and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She loved her pets, Jethro and Saddie and enjoyed trips to the Palm Beach Zoo. Cheryl will be also remembered for her handmade Christmas cards and crocheted blankets for all her family members. Cheryl enjoyed traveling with her husband especially their recent road trip to Santa Fe. Cheryl had a great sense of humor, loved Giannamores's pizza and playing euchre with her nephew. Cheryl was a devoted daughter and along with her husband, caretaker for her mother Dorothy for many years. She was also a loving aunt to her nieces and nephew.
