

A longtime resident of Spring Valley, NY and Delray Beach, FL died on Thursday, July 15, 2021.
He was 88. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Marion Gallucci LaBarbera formerly of the Bronx,
Spring Valley, NY and Delray Beach, FL.
Born on January 1st 1933, he was the son of the late Josephine Barone LaBarbera and Joseph
LaBarbera of the Bronx and Nyack, NY. He was raised in the Bronx and graduated from
Evander Childs High School. Soon after he enlisted in the Navy and later joined the Air Force
where he was primarily based in Greenland. In 1956 he received an honorable discharge and
returned to the Bronx and married Marion. They later moved to Spring Valley where he raised
his growing family. He was an aircraft mechanic, general contractor and small business
entrepreneur owning a car wash and laundromat. He also owned many multi family commercial
real estate properties. He had a love of all things aviation and airplanes and earned his private
pilot certificate and enjoyed taking his family and friends flying. He was a “jack of all trades”
and a mentor to many with his “golden hands” that could build anything related to wood
working. In 1986 Ciro and Marion moved to Florida where they remained for the duration of
their lives.
Ciro will be remembered by his three loving daughters JoLynn (Richard) Bourne, Lisa Boehm
and Debra Adametz, his three grandchildren, Michael (Tina) Acevedo, Stephanie Klein and
Jesse (Jessica) Adametz. He also leaves behind five great grandchildren, Scarlett and Lucca
Acevedo, Chloe Klein, Louie Centauro and Ryland Adametz.
A celebration of life in memory of Ciro will be held on Monday July 19th at 2:30pm at the
Dorsey - E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ciro’s name to the American Heart Association or
the Parkinson’s Foundation.
