

Darrell “Mike” Paymar, born May 22, 1939, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025, at the age of 85. Mike’s legacy of service, devotion to family, and dedication to his community will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
A proud veteran, Mike served his country for 27 years in the United States Army, where he earned the respect and admiration of his fellow soldiers. He was also a lifelong Mason, serving the fraternity for over 60 years. Both of these roles were sources of immense pride for Mike, but above all, his greatest joy was his family.
Mike left behind his beloved wife, Patricia Paymar, and his son, Williard Paymar, his daughters, Susan O’Brien, Sandra Brabham, and Kathleen Hopkins, as well as eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of his life. His legacy of love, wisdom and strength will live on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
More than anything, Mike wanted to leave behind a legacy of the tight-knit family he and Patricia created, a family bound by love and unity that will carry his memory forward for generations to come.
A gathering of family & friends for Darrell will be held Friday, March 28, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Dorsey/E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM. His graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Lake Worth Memory Gardens, 3041 Kirk Rd, Lake Worth Beach, FL 33461.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Halifax Health Hospice of Port orange in his honor.
Mike’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his legacy of service, family devotion, and friendship will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Mike—you will be deeply missed!
