Doris Hansen

Age 77, of West Palm Beach, went to be with the Lord on December 3rd, 2012. Doris was the daughter of the late Richard T. M. Hansen and Ruth Agnes Haggan Hansen and was born in North Arlington, New Jersey on July 12th, 1935. Doris graduated with a Bachelors Degree in teaching from Montclair State College, New Jersey in 1956. She taught at Wall Middle School in Wall New Jersey for 16 years and in 1972 moved to Florida. Doris worked as a Secretary for Miami Elevator Company in Riviera Beach for 25 years and retired in 1997. She helped set up the new store of Burlington in Boynton Beach and continued to work there until transferring to the Royal Palm Beach store upon their opening. Doris enjoyed traveling, reading and being with her family. One of her joys in life was to worship the Lord at The Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Palm Springs, FL where she was a member. She will be forever loved by her Aunt Helen Haggan Edwards; Nephews Lance C Brunner with his wife Terry A. Brunner of Lake Worth, FL and Alan D. Brunner of West Palm Beach, FL.; her niece Donna L. Irwin and her husband James S. Irwin III of Lake Worth, FL.; her great nieces and nephews, Bethann Irwin, Amanda Camus, Kyle Irwin, Tyler Camus and his wife Lauren Camus, Carina Brunner, Shelby Brunner, Kyle Brunner, Hayley Brunner; her great great nieces and nephews, Dominic Camus, Landon Brunner, Amaya Irwin. Doris was preceded in death by her sister Ruth A. Brunner and her husband Chester C. Brunner; her nephews Bruce C. Brunner, Wayne R. Brunner. Family and friends will gather at The Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1591 Kirk Road, Palm Springs, FL 33406 on Saturday, December 15th, 2012 at 3:30pm to celebrate the life of Doris A. Hansen. Donations can be made to The Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
