GEORGE THOMAS BLACK George Thomas Black passed away peacefully at his home into the arms of our Lord surrounded by his loving family on November 19, 2010. He was born on March 4, 1930 in McKeen, IL. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Baxter Black; daughter, Stephanie Sansom and her husband Peter; grandchildren, Brittany Sansom, Ashley and Sara Black; brother, Archie Black of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his son Steven Black. Mr. Black served in the Corp of Army Engineers during the Korean Conflict and was retired from Alcan Aluminum in Terre Haute, IN. He was a member of First Baptist Church of West Palm Beach where he served as usher. The Black family will receive their friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 11 AM till 1 PM with a Funeral Service to follow immediately. Mr. Black will be laid to rest at Lake Worth Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to either Hospice of Palm Beach County or the Alzheimer's Association . Dorsey-E.
