Demma, Ida 91 of West Palm Beach passed away on May 23, 2014 after a long illness, she was under the care of Hospice of Palm Beach County. She was born and raised in Bari, Italy. During WWII she met her husband John, they married and moved to Albania, his native country. They came to America in 1946 aboard a US transport ship with their son Jim and daughter Pat. They lived in Bridgeport, Ct. She and her husband then moved to West Palm Beach in 1972 and retired over 20 years ago. Her husband John preceded her in death in 1997 and her daughter Pat in 2003. She is survived by her son Jim and his wife Joan of Los Angeles, CA, 6 grandchildren, John, Michael, Todd Demma, Jason and Matthew Kosma, and Amy Kosman Chapman, and 5 great grandchildren. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Dorsey E. Earl Smith Funeral Home between 10AM-11:00AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church at 11:30AM. She will be laid to rest at Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
