I am sorry for your loss. I hope you can find comfort in the words written at (Jeremiah 29:11,12)

Just when I thought that Aunt Irene would go on forever seated in her chair, I hear that she is gone. Irene Carnevale, that generous person whom we all knew and loved, and her late husband, 'Uncle Frank', I still think of them as one. And though memory cannot replace these two kind and funny souls, I do have many and will cherish them as long as life allows.

Aunt Irene and Uncle Frank visited us in Myrtle Creek,Oregon around 1985..I had bought a micro wave on sale and Aunt Irene just loved it. I had bought it before Marrying Marilyn and had called Aunt I about cooking in it. It was really big and it came with classes  I never went to. Aunt I said you could cook a whole turkey in it.On driving to San Francisco with Marilyn  Uncle F drove Marilyn;s car and Aunt I instructed Marilyn on how to use the microwave and cook a big turkey in it..In Palo Alto they stayed with Marilyn's parents.overnight and took a train south. It was a great time of talking golf.I think Marilyn's Dad loved it..Two golfers in my house as guests  WOW>
 My 3 children and I visited Florida in the late 1980's and stayed with Aunt I and Uncle F.. My son gained 5 lbs and could not stop eating the food she cooked.We all got sun tans on the beach and I am looking at pictures now that Marilyn just pulled out.Marilyn and I  and my 3 kids also visited NJ and 5th street when Irene and Frank were there in the summer visiting.Great times especially when Mary Ellen, Ray,and Ken showed up.. Ray was just starting to wwlk and Aunt I had so many stories of growing up in this house on 5th st.

I have so many stories about Aunt Irene and Uncle Frank. I will limit myself to several about my precious Aunt. I remember them taking care of me on 5th street when I was very young. on the 2nd floor. I think they were living there at that time.Apparently I was not well behaved. She said you are not minding me!
I said Oh Yeah..watch this.. and proceeded to shake a coke bottle and release it all over the ceiling... James..you are impossible.!.she always called me James...Uncle Frank had just painted the ceiling..! When I graduated high school she came by the house.She gave me my first camera which was like a "window to the world " for me..and Uncle Frank taught me how to use it..When my Mom died in my senior year  of high school Uncle Frank and Aunt Irene helped us through  the Funeral home ordeal and funeral being there every day.

My memories of times together, dear Aunt Irene,

Early years of pre-school and after school care on 5th St. while my mother worked; then, your making clothes for me and for my dolls; growing up a bit and watching you work that "ironing machine" like a production line worker; perming my hair but only for waves not curls!

You always had the latest in home appliances, fashion and workout routines before we even knew about working out. Oh, the pride in how you presented yourself and those beach pictures!  Thank you for helping us out so much when my mother died. I can still remember Uncle Frank appearing at our apt that day with food for everyone.

Verona days - touring your house as it was being built and knowing it would mean you would be moving far away enough that our frequent visits would come to an end. Thus it was as the whole family moved out of Newark and we hung on.

Then, the big move to Florida and the summers  back in Newark. Our visits to see you, Uncle Frank, Lucille and Neva along with Ken's father and Shirley. So memorable are those trips to stay at 5th St with little Ray - where he learned to walk and laugh and appreciate a different kind of life. Your grand welcome for Ray and Jean in Florida and all the fun at the beach and playing in boxes.  Ah, we laughed a lot then. You taught me to cook family dishes on those visits and they have become part of what we love to cook and eat.

Ray treasures the time he spent with you and Uncle Frank and we thank you for making the family alive and important for him. I thank you for all your love for me, dear aunt.

I have so many pleasant memories of Aunt Irene from celebrating she and Uncle Frank's anniversary with Grandma Lizzy's 4th of July birthday, to her amazing cooking, and spending time at their home in Verona and Greenacres City.  Now they will be together forever!

Prayers for you and your family at this time!!!

We will always be grateful that we were blessed to have you as a great-grandma. Our lives were always filled with joy with you around always making us smile and spoiling us rotten. We love you grandma and will miss you. But we are glad that Papa has you now and we know you will always be with us.

I always have a laugh when I tell the story about the only time that I played golf with Frank and about how he was concerned that I may not know how to dress for their club.  Without that round of golf I may never have known how to hit out of sand.  The real laughs come when I admit being happy to never have played with Irene (because there was never a doubt that she would beat me) but that I never had to worry when she and I worked on her sewing machine or discussed sewing.  God bless and keep them both in comfort!

There are many memories we have of Irene, she was a warm and friendly sister-in-law, an excellent cook and hostess. I remember when I was graduating  high school and did not know how to dance, she taught me to dance so I was able to go to the prom and not be a wall flower. She and Frank had a passion for travel and golf and lived life to the fullest. In most recent days whenever I talked to her she told me what she missed the most was the Jacuzzi. Well Irene God be with you and Frank will be together again
and in a better place and memories of all those you touched. Enjoy God's  18 hole golf course and his golden Jacuzzi. God be with you

The Carnevale family has been a part of my life since 1969. Frank and Irene treated all of Lucille and Neva's friends like we were their own children. Irene was special lady, a kind and loving person. She will be missed and remembered with love, always.

Anyone who knew you were blessed to have you in their life. You always gave without ever expecting anything in return. You always made me feel special surrounded by your love. You  stood by me through some of the hardest part of my life and always had the right advice. For two years we spent a couple of hours everyday creating memories I will carry with me. We will truly never be apart because you own a piece of my heart. You will be missed everyday but I know you are never far away. Papa and you will be watching from above still showering us with your love. We will be together again one day until then only one thing to say: I love you both. Xoxo

This candle reminds me of the love you gave me unconditionally for over half my life. Your love will burn bright in my heart for the rest of my life. I love you grandma!!

Neva, most of my memories of your mom are in the stories you'd tell me....funny things she'd say, talking about her food, watching TV.....that is what I will remember! Mostly the love that was shared....the special bond that will keep her forever in your heart!  May those memories bring you peace as you celebrate her life in the coming days!
