

Jerry Joseph DiFede, Sr. of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his home on October 7th, 2015 at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Mae DiFede, his three sons Jerry Joseph DiFede Jr. and his wife Heather Kristine DiFede, Michael John DiFede and Marco Adam DiFede. His six grandchildren, Nico DiFede, son of Jerry and Heather, Dominick, Rocco and Gino DiFede, sons of Michael, and Oriana and Brianni DiFede, daughters of Marco. He is also survived by his sister Rose Naples, her children Daniel and Joseph and their father, brother-in-law Daniel Naples (and his wife Joann), sister Angie Moccio, brother-in-law Salvatore Moccio and their children Salvatore and Marie, sister Ruth Purkall and her daughter Kim and brother Michael DiFede, sister-in-law Karen and their daughter Michelle. His sister June DiFede of West Palm Beach, FL, mother his nephew Carmen DiFede, preceded him in passing, as did his parents, Joseph and Marie (Abruzzese) DiFede of New Jersey. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the country.
Jerry DiFede was a second generation Italian born on July 11, 1935 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He served in the Army National Guard from 1953 to 1959. On June 6, 1959 he married Nancy Mae Benyola (of Hopelawn, NJ) in The Church of Jesus Christ where his father Joseph served many decades as a minister. In the summer of 1972, he moved his family to West Palm Beach, Florida where he formed Jersey Realty of the Palm Beaches. During the 1970’s and 1980’s he was active in various community and civic organizations including the Lions Club International and the Fraternal Order of Eagles where he was past president of both organizations. He also spent many years as a Little League coach in the Greenacres Little League. Along with Jersey Realty, he was also the owner of Jerry J. DiFede Financial Services where he specialized income tax and accounting services, something he truly loved and continued to do until the day of his passing. A memorial and visitation for Florida family and friends will be held on Monday, October 12th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461.
A memorial for California family and friends will be held Thursday, October 15th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at East County Mortuary, 374 N. Magnolia Avenue, El Cajon, CA 92020.
