Joan, age 80, passed away June 19, 2015 in Greenacres, Florida. Joan was loved and will be missed by her five children: Debi Clappi, Karen Lewis Scorza, George Monahan, John Monahan and Christine Musick. She will also be missed by her five grandchildren and her great-grandson. The family would like to thank Arbor Oaks Assisted Living for the love and care they provided Joan the last four years. Also, special thanks to VITAS Hospice Care for the excellent care and comfort they provided both Joan and the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor can be made to Hospice or to the Alzheimer’s Association. Visitation will be held at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith on Monday, June 22nd from 6:00-9:00PM. Friends may also visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 23rd from 12:30-1:30PM followed by a graveside service that will take place at 2:00PM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery.
