

Age 89 of Lake Worth passed away peacefully at The Pointe Assisted Living Facility in Boynton Beach on May 30, 2012. John was born in Norfolk, VA and came to Florida as a young boy. After graduating from Lake Worth High School he joined the US Army Air Force during World War II and served in the China-Burma-India Theater of Operations. John was a long-time Lake Worth resident and a plastering contractor for more than 40 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. John was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years and the love of his life, Bessie Bowles Trent; his youngest son, Mark Trent; and his brothers, Samuel Roscoe Trent and Danny Jackman. He leaves to cherish his memory his two sons, Bruce (Mary) Trent and John (René) Trent; his grandchildren, Kimberly (Skip) Baldwin, Alyson (John) Fisher, Adrienne (Jason LoPiccolo) Trent and Cory Trent and four great-grandchildren, Leah and Aubree Fisher, Connor Baldwin and Isabella Lo Piccolo.
His family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 5th at the funeral home from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. His funeral will take place at 1:00 pm. John will be laid to rest immediately following at Pinecrest Cemetery, Lake Worth. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice by the Sea, Inc., 1531 W. Palmetto Park Rd., Boca Raton, FL 33486.
