To  the family Joe Cowen

I recently learned of the passing of Joe. I had the privilege of working for Joe at the Sheffield Pottery during the summers of 1951 to 1954 while attending College. I found him to be a wonderful gentleman to work for and learned a lot about good work ethics. Most a of all we became good friends. I always tried to visit Joe whenever I was in Sheffield.

I do extend my condolence to the family .

You will be missed greatly. You were a good friend and a Great mentor. We had so much fun working on sundays together for many years. When I would break up with a boyfriend you would always offer to put an ad in the paper for a new boyfriend.We would always talk about the sermon in church that day.
