Dear Marty,
I will always remember Tina's beautiful smile.  Her smile was warm and loving.  One could see the love she had for her family in her smile.  
Watching you and your daughters take care of Tina and love her unconditionally was an inspiration.  This love and caring was genuine and one could sense the gratitude and love you all had from a lifetime of being with Tina.  If more families were so honoring and loving, there would be such trivial problems in the world rather than the many problems that exist.  
We will all miss Tina but she is watching over her family.  All of our lives were richer because of her, and her life was richer because of all of us.  In time, may memories that may be sad now, warm your heart and bring great comfort.  But also make new memories as Tina would want you to enjoy each day being happy, healthy, and with purpose.  Take care of yourself for you have much love and wisdom to offer your family.  Give yourself time to adjust and know that some days will be easier than others.  There are still adventures to be had and new memories for you to make.  You are a strong person, and in the times that you do not feel strong, ask God to give you strength and comfort.  God knows what you are enduring and he will provide for all of your needs.  He is a loving God and wants you to be happy.

Dear Uncle Marty, Val, JoAnn, Lisa and your family.  Some the greatest memories of our youth include those early days in East Haven, Sunday dinners at Nonnie's and so many wonderful visits to Florida.  Auntie Tina was always full of Life, and certainly a spitfire.  We will always cherish these memories and find peace knowing she is in God's hands.  Carol, Michael and Cindy.  Hugs and kisses.

To my second "Mom" you were always loving and supportive.  Your interest in me and support was encouraging and heart warming. I have so many happy memories of being with JoAnn and the family over the years and you were such an important part of those memories. I always called you the Bamboo of this family, our strength, our glue, our reason, our go to person was you mom, always you!   Whether you told us what we wanted to hear or what we needed to hear, it was you mom, always you.  Thank you for teaching me the true meaning of unconditional love.  You always put everyone else first, cared so deeply and always did the right thing!  Even if it meant taking the side of our boyfriends when you thought we were wrong. :}

There will never be the perfect words to say when grieving the loss of one we loved so much. After dad passed I remember my mom telling me that she questioned why God would allow this. Someone responded to her we should not dwell on God allowing a horrible event to happen as it was the devil stepping in and that God was there to help us pick us the pieces. I pray that you lean on your faith to pick up the pieces and know that Tina has gone home, to be reunited with you again one day. We miss her daily but look forward to seeing her again one day. 
I was blessed to be welcomed into your family so many years ago and Savannah was so blessed to have Tina in her life. Savannah loves grandpa Marty too though!! 
In the days and weeks, months and years, special occasions and holidays that are to come, know your family loves you very much and will always be here for you. Tina is watching over us and has joined our special group of guardian angels.

Good morning Mom,
That's the first thing I say each morning when I open my eyes.  I miss you...the kind, strong, loving, compassionate woman who loved all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild.  But you loved Marty the love of your life, most of all.  The woman who put all ahead of herself, who lived to serve others, and lead by example.
Mom you loved me unconditionally just the way I am. You were my confidant who kept my secrets.  I shared my hopes, dreams, and triumphs.  You were so excited to learn you were to become a grandmother when I was pregnant with Lauren.  You walked through my home birth experience with Anthony with me.  So many happy, beautiful memories of vacations, dinners, holidays, sporting events, recitals...etc etc.
Thank you for being my mom.  Thank you for watching over all of us.  Thank you for the signs you send me.  I see you in the beauty of this world.  I hear you in the depths of my soul.  I feel you when I'm with Savannah Grace and I know when I hold my next grandbaby you'll be there too.  This is not good bye, we will be together again someday.

Aunt Tina, my Godmother, you are the epitome of a Godmother for me. You took us under your wing when we moved to Florida and helped us as only family can in that transition.  We felt like we could talk and go to you about anything and were a surrogate grandmother to our children. I have so many fond memories growing up with you and your family as well as the family we made together with Sharron. We will always love you and will always be forever in our thoughts.

Our time on earth is brief, there's lessons to be learned,

Every chapter full of memories, times of joy and tears,

To Lisa and Family:

My family sends your family our deepest sympathy.  While we never got to meet Tina, we have had the joy of knowing her daughter Lisa.  Lisa has been an inspiration through my recovery from breast cancer.  

In listening to Lisa speak of her mother, I know that she is like her mom.  She is loving and welcoming to all.  She is strong, loyal, and there when you need her. Lisa obviously had a very special mom and Lisa is so very special to us.  With Love, Donna, Karlos, and David

To Marty,Valerie,Joann and Lisa,as Tina's caregiver for the past four years I have so much memories of our time together.Little walks we would take on Hoffy Circle.Sitting in the garage watching the kids play on the street.Watching all those reruns of Gunsmoke Bonanza and The Andy Griffith's show.The times when we would burst out laughing because something funny was said or done. Our lunch trips to Wendy's on a Friday where we would have lunch and then wait for Marty to come from the airport. She would always expect him to walk through that door and most times he did. I also learnt about the sticking out of the tongue. We would do it to each other then burst into laughter. Tina loved her little great granddaughter and would always be so happy when "the baby" was coming for a visit.So much more memories I could share.I would do it all over again if she should leave heaven and come back to us but let her have sweet rest in the arms of our Lord.I am glad I met this loving family. Love to all.

What can I say about my Italian Parents? Marty and Tina were my neighbors in Lake Worth and they were and always will be more than 'just neighbors'. There are countless memories some good, some great and some that I needed a strong willed, shoot from the hip mother figure to help me thru and that was Tina. So many times we would just sit and chat. Tina would call me over and say if you don't have dinner on the stove, come here we're waiting for you. This type of unconditional love is part of the fabric that bound Mary and Tina together as a loving couple, bound and determined to make the best our of what life had to offer.
The Torino's are unlike many of the families I know in society today. Marty chose a beautiful bride to be his partner, run the household and raise three beautiful, talented, and equally strong willed daughters who are the light that will perpetuate what they created together for generations and generations to come.
I will forever hear Tina's jovial and contagious laugh as well as her stern yet playful calling for Marty when he was sitting in the garage listening to his music and watching the neighbors.
We are all blessed to have the Torino's in our lives and now is the times for us to remind them of the love they are and the joy they bring, just by being.
I Love You Tina and look forward to the day when we shall all be together again in his heavenly kingdom. We promise to look after Marty and your kids as well.

To my sweet, feisty Grammy, My Little Lady, Princess,
     The other day I was looking though a photo album from when I was first born.  I was flipping through pages of pictures and cards from gifts that mom had received, I saw pictures of you holding me for the first time and then others of you dressing me in the outfit you bought for me to wear home from the hospital.  I flipped through pages and pages of memories that I was too young at that time to soak in.  I cried as I looked at the joy in your face as you held your granddaughter and I wondered if I knew at that time just how important a person you were going to be in my life.  More and more tears flooded my eyes so I decided to close the book.  As I did I randomly flipped to a page filled with cards and little notes from floral arrangements and that's when I recognized something that I had longed to see for the past few years, your handwriting. I found the thank you card you wrote to mom two days after I was born.  In it you wrote, Daddy and I want to thank you for giving us Kristyn Nicole. She is just beautiful. I know we will love her and enjoy her so much-can't wait to get her home! I know you and her will share the same closeness that we have shared, and always will! Love you, Mom At that moment I lost it.  Grammy, I felt that love EVERY day of my 32 years as your granddaughter and I enjoyed EVERY moment of our time together.  I consider myself lucky to be one of four kids in this world to call you grandma.  
There are 32 years full of amazing memories that will forever live on in my heart.  You never missed an event in my life and you were always there for me. As hard as the past few years were, I still felt lucky to spend that time with you, talking, as I know you were always listening, sticking our tongues at each other and laughing or just snuggling together on the couch. Grandpa says those days really meant the world to you, but really Grammy they meant EVERYTHING to me.  Don't worry, I will always save Monday nights for you as they will always be grandma night. One of my last memories of you was at my wedding and grammy, you looked beautiful.  Every time I looked, you were smiling and beaming with pride. Thank you so much for making sure that you were there, you made that day complete and I will always be thankful for that.
After 32 years I have a response to your thank you note to mom, here it goes Thank you Grammy.  Thank you for being my Grammy. I have loved and enjoyed YOU so much and I can't wait till I get home to see you again. I wasn't sure if I wanted to wright anything because for awhile there I was angry. I was angry that you wouldn't be at my wedding or see my kids someday and I felt that as the youngest I got to spend the least amount of time with you. Yet then I started thinking about how lucky I was. I was lucky because many don't get a chance to know their grandparents, but you were always there. You were at everything in my life always supporting me, always loving me, always making me be a better person. I'm who I am today because of you. I'm strong because you were strong. I'm kind because of the kindness you showed. I'm me because you showed me how to be myself. The first time I met the wonderful extended Family Torino was at Marty & Tina's 25th anniversary celebration in Hamden, CT. Before that evening was over, they made me feel as if I were born into the family, a feeling that has only grown and deepened over the many years since. Whether visiting them in Florida or Connecticut, she and Marty (and of course their children) always made it seem as if we been apart a but a few days. When my late Dad and stepmom were in Florida, she welcomed them too as family even though they had never met. It's how they are, and I will never forget the example they set for Janet and me. They always were and ever shall be The Real Deal. We will miss Tina greatly.

She raised three very different children Val loyal to her family,Joann so protective of her family and then there is Lisa the Maverick.  These traits were all part of your mother.  She is at peace now but still with you in your memories, and watching over you from above. Words can not express how sorry I am for your loss. Love you all.

 Family always came first for Aunt Tina and Uncle Marty.  Even when their journey brought them to Florida, they always stayed close to family back east. I always loved their visits!  Tina was a great mom, a strong and savvy woman, and Uncle Marty's true soulmate.  She has left behind a beautiful family and an amazing legacy of love.  She has not gone, just gone ahead... You are all in my prayers.

Many memories come to mind when i think back, from Tina coming in from a Tennis match in her matching Tennis outfit to directing those amazing and long holiday dinners (that i was unprepared for and thought dinner was over after the meatballs) to Tina kicking out of her house a very sleepy teenager.
