

Age 73, of Lantana, FL Passed away unexpectedly on November 20, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL with his wife and son by his side. Kenny was the beloved husband to Kerry (Burgess) Torres to whom he has been married for 28 years. Born in New Bedford, MA, he was the son of the late Francis G. Torres and Christina M. (Alexander) Torres. Prior to retiring Ken worked as a Superintendent for Weitz Construction. He was a graduate of Bishop Stang High School, North Dartmouth, MA and served in the US Navy.
Ken was a drag racer in his younger years and a continued enthusiast throughout his life. He loved introducing drag racing to his family and friends. He was also passionate about his model trains, fishing, massive garage “man cave,” music, singing, dancing and playing pool.
In addition to his wife, Ken had four loving children: Kenny, Julie, Michael (Tiana), Adam and six grandchildren: Aidyn, Ethan, Eli, Lucas, Kodi and Ariya. Ken will be forever remembered by his sisters: Janet (Nick), Karen, Pamela (Trevor), Beth and his brother Rick (Trudy). Ken will also be lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law Mary, sister-in-law Colleen (Hans), brother-in-law Tim and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 11:00am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
