With deep sorrow and heartfelt remembrance, we announce the passing of Lois Cole, affectionately known to all as “Andi.” Born in Montclair, New Jersey, Andi’s life was one of warmth, adventure, and love—a true testament to a life well-lived. She passed peacefully on October 24th, surrounded by her devoted family and the compassionate staff at JFK Medical Center.
Andi was a woman of grace, strength, and kindness. Her early years as a working model in NYC were only the beginning of a remarkable journey. She found success as a travel agent, an entrepreneur, a property owner, and each chapter of her life marked by hard work and resilience. Andi became a pioneering force in the early days of the cell phone industry, beginning her career with McCaw Cellular Communications and dedicating decades to AT&T Mobility, where she made a lasting impact on all who worked with her.
Having traveled extensively and later settling in Florida, Andi’s spirit of adventure was rivaled only by her boundless compassion. She was a family-centered woman who embraced her role as a loving sister to Jeanne Cole, and a devoted Aunt to Robert and Allisyn Powell. Known for her gentle, even-tempered nature and her deep love for animals, Andi touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.
Her passing leaves a profound absence in the hearts of those who knew her, yet we find comfort in remembering the love and joy she brought to each of us. Andi’s legacy lives on in the cherished memories she leaves behind, and her spirit will forever remain a part of our lives.
Funeral arrangements will be shared at a later date as we gather to celebrate the beautiful life of Lois Cole. We invite all who knew and loved Andi to join us in honoring her memory.
