Margaret Gerlach

Margaret (Margie) Gerlach 94, of Stuart, FL passed away, on January 28, 2022. She was born and raised in Galesburg, IL. After high school, she worked as a telephone operator prior to moving to Miami, FL in the 1950s where she met her husband, William (Bill) whom she was married to for 47 years. Margie and her family then settled in the West Palm Beach area in 1965 and lived many years in Palm Springs, FL. She was a homemaker and AVON Representative for many years. A faithful member of the Lutheran Church she was involved in WELCA, Ruth Circle, and Sunday School. She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (Rich) Domark of Wellington, Linda (Ed) Severino of Stuart, three grandchildren, Jessica Domark, Heather (Raffi) Lopez, Ashley (Andrew) Portuondo and three step-grandchildren, Jason (Paige) Severino, Marc (Jenn) Severino, and Amy (Rob) Federico, step-great-grandchildren with two great-grandchildren on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband William, mother Marie, and father Signal.

A gathering of family & friends for Margaret will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461. A funeral service will occur Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Saint Michael Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1925 Birkdale Drive, Wellington, FL 33414. She will be laid to rest immediately following at Lake Worth Memory Gardens Cemetery, Lake Worth.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VITAS Healthcare (Hospice) of the Treasure Coast or Saint Michael's Lutheran Church in her memory.
