Our precious mother and beloved wife, Mireille Wesh, passed from this life peacefully the morning of December 7th, after a 2 year courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends during the last days of her life.
She was born Mireille Jean-Baptiste in Port Au Prince, Haiti as one of eight children to mother Monise Victor, father Mercier Jn Baptiste, and stepmother Nelly. She came to United States in 1984 by way of Brooklyn, New York, later moving with her daughter Mara and Husband Neddy in 1987 to Lake Worth, Florida where she made her home and raised her extraordinary three daughters and son.
Mireille enjoyed doing anything that involved helping others. She began her life of service as a teacher in Haiti, earning her bachelor’s degree in education, helping young minds grow. In America, she went on to graduate cosmetology school, helping women to feel confident and making the world just a little more beautiful. Finally, she found her vocation as an accomplished Certified Nurse Assistant, where she dedicated 30 years of her life, giving help, healing and comfort to all those in her care. Her family, friends, and colleagues knew her as Millie, as a beautiful soul, always willing to cheer up anyone with her radiant smile and kind gestures. She was also a woman of incredible faith. As an active member of Peniel Haitian Baptist Church, she shared her joy, service, and fellowship in the Lord for over 30 years. She will be remembered for her kind spirit and marvelous hats.
Mireille lived her life with an open heart, always there with both hands to give strength and love to everyone around her. She lived for children and was a devoted companion to her husband. She held her entire family close as she believed family and God come first.
She is survived by her devoted husband Neddy Wesh Jr, with whom she spent 33 memorable years. She is also survived by her four loving children, who made up the entirety of her world and she treasured -Mara Jean-Baptiste (Gaby), Ashley Wesh, twins Darnell and Daphne Wesh, and her amazing godchild Daphca, who she raised as her own. She was also recently blessed with her beautiful daughter-in-law Bethany. She additionally leaves behind her siblings, Guy Victor and Marc Baptiste, her wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends whose lives she touched.
Our family wishes to thank all who have given food, comfort and compassion throughout our grief in these last days. The kindness you have shown us speaks to your love of Millie. Her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved her. May her beautiful soul rest in peace in the loving arms of God.
