(January 3, 1960 – May 15, 2012)
Nirva J. Saintil (affectionately called Doudoue) was born on January 3, 1960 in Jacmel, South East of Haiti. The second of five surviving children born to Guston and Edna Jovin, Nirva attended Marie Reine Immaculee Prep School and graduated from Lycee des Jeunes Filles (High School) in 1982.
Up to the time of her illness, she was working at Garden’s Court and Manor Care and was pursuing further studies at Palm Beach States College.
On May 28, 1988, she was united to Samuel Saintil in Holy Matrimony and the union produced two lovely daughters Esther and Abigail Saintil. She loved her two daughters profoundly and lived a simple life to get them through life, providing and caring for her family up to the end.
During her lifetime, Nirva showed many fruits of the spirit– love, kindness, faithfulness, and gentleness. He showed love for God, her family, friends, church members and co-workers.
She had a wonderful sense of humor. And in spite of all her heartache and challenges, she never faltered.
There is no doubt that her life demonstrated a likeness in Christ which is now her merited crown of glory in heaven.
Today we celebrate the life of Nirva, but there is also a greater celebration in heaven because a child of God has come home.
