Pedro Angel Morales, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Pedro is a beloved member of his community and his legacy will continue to live on; his pure heart and selfless actions will be remembered by all. A true definition of a fighter, Pedro lived life to the fullest and never failed to have a smile on his face – even during trying times.
Pedro always put his family first. In 1966 he and his loving wife Gloria moved to NY in hopes of securing a better future for their children. A hard-working man, Pedro did everything he can to provide and support his family. His perseverance and tenacity paved the way for his children and their future generations.
You could always find Pedro dancing to his favorite salsa music and humming at the top of his lungs; especially in the shower with his radio. Pedro loved dancing with his wife, who he called Panchita – Gloria called him Panchito. His love for his kids was unmatched and he always took the time to call them and other family and friends because he was always concerned of their well-being. If a week went by and he didn’t hear from you, he would make sure to reach out before the days end. Nothing gave him greater joy than playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren; they’re all a testament of his love for his family, God and anyone he crossed paths with. Whenever he saw someone in need, Pedro was the first one to lend a hand without hesitation. He took joy in volunteering at the Senior Center and at the Church as an Usher in Newark, NJ. Being an active member of the community gave him immense joy because it gave him an opportunity to interact with others which was something he loved doing. He always inquired about the well-being of families – he cared about others more than himself.
The void that Pedro will leave with his family and those that knew him will not be replaced, but knowing that he is now in the hands of God gives his family great solace.
