Age 97 of Palm Springs, FL passed away February 12, 2015. She was born April 15, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph and Amelia Weisse. She was a devout Catholic her entire life. Rita is survived by: son, Joseph “Wally” Hanifin (wife, Shirley) of Sopchoppy, FL (formerly of Boynton Beach); daughter, Rita M. Wilson of Palm Springs, FL; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Joseph “Wally” Hanifin, 2nd husband, Harold “Hal” W. Rogers, daughter, Regina Goolsby, and grand daughter, Wendy Hanifin. Friends may visit from 4:00 – 8:00pm on Monday, February 16th at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, Lake Worth. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, February 17th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1000 W. Lantana Road, Lantana, FL.
