"Bob"
90, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012. Mr. Davis served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. After serving in the armed services, he went to work for General Motors in Sandusky, Ohio and worked there for 30 years, retiring in 1976. Bob moved from Port Clinton, Ohio with his wife Rita in 1978. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the West Palm Beach Country Club.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Rita Davis; children, John (Susan) Davis, Susan (Tony) Anson, and Robert (Diane) Davis, Jr.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, Merry (Michael) Geary and Judith Bell. Mr. Davis was predeceased by two sons, Thomas and James Davis.
The Davis family will receive their friends on Tuesday, March 13th from 11:30 AM until noon with a funeral service at noon where military honors will be rendered. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2740 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405, where he was a member for many years. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461.
