Ron was born to David and Rose Pereira in Queens, New York. Ron spent his childhood in Staten Island with his older sister, Deborah (Debbie) Pagano, and younger brother, Joseph (Joe) Pereira.
Ron was known for his quick witted humor, his delicious "Isola" Lasagna, meatballs and homemade sauce; his love for the New York Yankees; traveling and movies; and his deep love for family, friends, and food.
In his early adulthood, Ron joined the National Guard to proudly serve his country in 1979, in Florida, in where he graduated high school, and began a successful career in Information Technology.
Ron later moved to Ohio, where he had his three daughters; Jaclyn (of Laurie), Angela, and Melanie (of Denise). Ron was fiercely proud of his daughters. Ron’s pride and joy was watching them grow up, all of their academic, athletic, and professional achievements, and witnessing the women they are today. His second daughter followed in his military footsteps and joined the Army, which he talked about so proudly.
In his later years, Ron moved back to Florida to be close to his first cousins and brother Joe, with whom he found great comfort while battling advanced stage Cancer and progressive Multiple Sclerosis.
Ron passionately believed in the importance of respect, community and standing up for what was right. He led his life by these principles and anyone that knew him was sure of it.
Ron is survived by his Pereira and Isola families, especially that of his daughters Jaclyn Pereira (granddaughter Jocelyn; Cyrus Duval, fiancé; and to-be granddaughter Rylee), Angela Pereira and Melanie Pereira; his sister, Deborah Pagano (Frank and niece, Stephanie); brother, Joseph Pereira , (nephew Logan); and so many blessed cousins.
Services/celebration of life will be held at a later time.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests donations be made to one of the organizations Ron Pereira felt strongly about.
