Parkinson, Ruby Frances (Clark), 96, Lake Clarke Shores, FL. Born on November 19, 1927 and passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024. Ruby was born in Kensington, United Kingdom to Arthur Clarke and Nell Sawkins and was the youngest of their 5 children.
Ruby served the British war efforts during World War II manufacturing uniforms for he armed forces. She also made bandages for the injured. She survived the London Blitz and V1 and V2 bombings. During the bombing, she met and married US Army Air Force Sergeant Walter A. Parkinson., serving in the Mighty 9th US Army Air Force B-17 group and later married him near Windsor Castle. She was a happy wife, had a happy life and remained married to Walter until his passing in 2006.
Ruby was a hard worker, had one child (Gregory), worked for the Lewis Historical Publishing Company and the State of Florida, Health and Human Services until her retirement in 1992. She had the ability to smile, laugh, enjoy life and like all people. She will be missed.
In her final years, Ruby moved to Arbor Oaks for their professionalism and the care they provided. Praise must also be given to the staff at Trustbridge Hospice for their care, comfort and dedication to their patients. Praise the Lord for all blessings throughout life and beyond. Amen
