

Stephen Carl Gundlach of Lantana, FL passed peacefully on June 15, 2023, in the care of Trustbridge Hospice Care. Steve was born December 28, 1949 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to Paul R. and Grace Eileen Gundlach. Surviving are his brothers, Paul (Kathi) and Stanley (Bertha), nephew Paul William Gundlach and nieces Nichol Stepe (Scott), Katie Gundlach, and Christina Shipp (Ryan). He also leaves his great niece and nephews, Jesse and Dean Stepe and Ava and Coen Shipp.
The Gundlach family moved to Lantana in 1953. Steve was a proud graduate of Lake Worth High School, class of 1967. Steve attended the Ringling College of Art and Design. Upon graduation he was offered a job at Hallmark in New York City. He decided to remain in Lantana and work in the family business, Gundlach's Marina. Steve was the office manager and worked with his brothers for 35 years. Upon retirement from the marina he continued to work with his brothers on various properties they owned throughout Lantana.
Steve enjoyed traveling with his friends in a group called the Road Runners. He also relished spending time with his family and friends. Steve often attended LWHS alumni events where he was able to meet up with old friends. Steve was a fan of the Florida Panthers and the FAU Owls.

A service celebrating the life of Stephen Carl Gundlach, will be held at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Rd. Lake Worth, FL 33461, Saturday June 24, 2023, at 4:00 pm.
