Kenneth D Hutchinson

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the New Life Assembly of God Church in Bridgeport with Pastor Randy Brotzman officiating.  Interment will follow at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery. 

Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bridgeport Memorial Chapel. 

He was born on March 26, 1930, south of Bridgeport, Nebraska to Ray S. and Bessie (Edwards) Hutchinson.  He attended school in Bridgeport.  Ken married Lois Stevens on August 4, 1951 in Bridgeport.  They have lived in Northport for 50 years.  He has worked for the Nebraska State Department of Roads for 35 years.  He enjoyed collecting antiques and his cattle.  He loved spending time with his family hunting and fishing.   He was a devoted brother, husband, father and grandfather.  He especially loved spending time with his grandson, Cory.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Lois; son, Russ and wife Mary of Bridgeport and grandson, Cory; son, Kenneth; granddaughter, Becky (Tim) Leanhart and 3 great grandchildren of Georgia; brothers, Ray (Rose) of Northport and Virgil (Janice) of Scottsbluff; sisters, Marilyn (Bob) LaPoint of Longmont, CO and Carolyn (Glenn) Silvius of Bridgeport and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
