

Anna Haywood Songy, 88, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on August 2, 2016. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 27, 1928. Anna married Frank E. Haywood in 1949; they were married until she was widowed 28 years later. Together they reared to sons, Frank and Paul Haywood.
Anna remarried her beloved Alfred J. Songy on October 14, 1978.
Anna worked a secretarial job for the United States Geological Survey DFC, Denver, Colorado from 1967 - 1977. She spent a lifetime as a Melaleuca distributor; she completed Catholic Biblical School in 1995 and went on to be a Counselor within the Catholic organization. She had passions for shopping, camping, sewing, entertaining, fishing. She also enjoyed a competitive card game with her friends or family. She spent a lifetime collecting photos of all the people and events that meant so very much to her and she treasured her collection with great enthusiasm.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred J. Songy, her children, Frank (Pam) Haywood and Paul (Konnie) Haywood, her step children; Michele (Bruce) Songy Raymond, Anne Songy, Paul Songy, Father David Songy, Joe (Patsy) Songy, and John (Diana) Songy, her 16 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren and two surviving sisters Eleanor Bucha and Fran Schaeffer.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 11am at St. Bernadette's Catholic Parish in Lakewood, Colorado. Crown Hill Inurnment will take place on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 2pm.
