Daniel Dean Lucas

Daniel Dean Lucas was a bright spirit, and beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. He passed away on March 1, 2022 at the age of 77. Daniel was born in Leavenworth, Kansas on December 30, 1944. A serious illness left Daniel with Cerebral Palsy at the age of two. The family moved to St Joseph, Mo. And then onto Colorado for better care of his Cerebral palsy.

Even though Daniel had cerebral palsy, he never let that stop him from being a positive and upbeat member of society. He worked for Rose Medical Center for many years, and bought his own house in Arvada through his earnings at the hospital. He was a jokester, and he loved to laugh.

After the death of Daniel's mother and father, his sisters Annette and Jenette took over the role of caring for him. He always looked forward to seeing them, they provided loving care like a mother would. He absolutely loved his sisters. He also enjoyed watching sports and having a good meal.

Daniel is preceded in death by his brother, Byron Lucas, and his parents, Carmoletta and Earl Lucas. He is survived by his sisters, Annette Towne and Jenette Brown, and his sister in law Karen Lucas. Daniel is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation for Daniel will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Advantage Runyan Stevenson, 6425 West Alameda Ave, Lakewood, CO 80226. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Lakewood Church of the Nazarene, 1755 Dover Street, Lakewood, CO 80215. A committal service will occur Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
