Preceded in death by parents Agnes and Neil, Omaha, NE; brothers, Gerald and Wayne of Florida; sisters, Kathleen Herdman and Jackie Tigges. Survived by sister, Phyllis Martin of Omaha, NE; wife of 63 years, Therese Matras Petersen; sons, Wayne, Mark (Eeris Kahlil); daughters, Pamela Jean Thompson of Winona, MN, Mary Craven, and Janet Petersen (John Dunham); grandsons, Jon Craven and Neil Petersen; granddaughter, Jessica Petersen; step-grandsons, Rodney, Michael, and Eric Thompson and eleven great-grandchildren. Graduated from Creighton University and attended St. Louis University graduate school. Active in the Credit Union movement since the '50s. Founding member of Christ on the Mountain Catholic Church, member of the Southwest Serra Club.
