Mrs. Abbott was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania as Ella Marie McDonald on November 13, 1920. Her parents were James McDonald and Helen Hartz. Ella was married to Walter Lyman Abbott on May 17, 1941.
Mrs. Abbott is survived by her sister, Regina Agnes Berry; her children, Dorothy Ann DiPace, Marie Elena Tribur, and William Benson Abbott; and her grandchildren, Aaron Michael Soto, Bobby Joseph Evans, and Cindy Marie DiPace. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, and her grandson, Samuel Edward DiPace, Jr.
A small service is planned for her family and friends in Morrison and another in Las Cruces.
