Harold John Bennett

Harold J Bennett, 84, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away on July 18, 2015. He was born in Lancaster, Wisconsin on September 03, 1930. Harold graduated from St. Nazianz and received a bachelor’s degree from the Wisconsin Institute of Technology-Platteville, and a Masters degree from the Colorado School of Mines. He was married to Irene Bennett on May 27, 1957. Harold had a career in Mining Engineering for the U.S bureau of mines. Harold was a dedicated follower of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. He was a Knight of Columbus and had passions for Genealogy, and walking his dog. He was survived by his children; Debbie McCann (Chris), Greg Bennett (Jessica). Grandchildren Lakota Bennett. Survivors include 2 brothers, Virgil Bennett of Lancaster, WI and Joe(Cory) Bennett of Moorhead, MN and a sister-In-Law, Peggy Jayne of Ca, and Jim Harasha His cousin and BFF. Many nieces, Nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Irene Bennett, his brother Bob Bennett; sisters, Sister Dorothy Bennett and Betty Hoffman, brothers-in-law Clinton Snyder, Clarence Hoffman, Carl Muench and Donald Schmit; sisters-inlaw Sophie Bennett, Ruth Bennett, Iva Bennett and Geneva Bennett; nephews, Edward Bennett and John Bennett; nieces, Kathy Wilkinson and Jean Kammerud.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, July 29th at Christ on the Mountain, 13922 W. Utah Ave., Lakewood, CO, memorial service following at 3:00pm at Fort Logan national Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and guests at Advantage Runyan Stevenson, 6425 W. Alameda Ave., Lakewood, CO from 3:00pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, July 28th.
