Born to Jack and Shirley Chleborad, John moved to Denver with his family and attended North High School. He later attended Trinidad State College on a Baseball Scholarship.
John was a businessman and the owner of Paint With Pride.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Michelle McKay; and his brother in law, Alan. He is survived by his sisters, Eva Sheley, Diana (David) Richards, and Gwen (Tim) Pittman; his uncle, Fr. Gerald Chleborad; and many nieces and nephews.
A kind-hearted, generous, and thoughtful man, John was always there to lend a helping hand to friends, neighbors, and family. He had the kindest heart and could make friends with anyone who had the good fortune to meet him, leaving a legacy of steady compassion and genuine care.
John was an avid fisherman, hunter, bowler, and golfer. He was apart of the Eagles and the Elks Club, and he was a devoted fan of the Denver Broncos and the New York Yankees.

A Memorial Service will be held at Advantage Runyan Stevenson Mortuary, 6425 West Alameda Ave, Lakewood, CO 80226, on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 11AM.
