

Laura Lee Schroeder, a cherished daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on August 11, 2024, in Westminster, Colorado, where she had lived and thrived for many years. Born on November 30, 1974, in Wisconsin to Thomas and Marylynn Schroeder, Laura's life was a vibrant tapestry of passions, pursuits, and connections.
Raised in Wisconsin, Laura was a bright student who excelled academically, graduating with honors from the University of Wisconsin, first in Madison and later in Milwaukee. Her academic success was matched by her adventurous spirit. Following her graduation, Laura embarked on a memorable journey to Germany, an experience that ignited her desire for new horizons.
Laura’s love for skiing, a passion nurtured during family trips to Colorado, drew her to the Rockies. After her European adventure, she made the decision to move to Colorado, where she began working in Vail, a town that allowed her to be close to the slopes she adored. Eventually, she settled in Westminster, where she continued to embrace the beauty of life until her passing.
Outside of work, Laura’s life was filled with creativity and care. She had a profound love for her dogs and found joy in tending to her garden, which she perfected with dedication this year. Her artistic talents were expressed through oil and rock painting, pencil drawing, and jewelry-making—each piece a testament to her unique vision and skill.
Laura is survived by her devoted parents, Marylynn and Thomas Schroeder; her beloved brother, Jeff (Jean); and her cherished nephew, Jack Thomas. She also leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her warmth and kindness. Laura is preceded in death by her fiancé, Roy.
A celebration of Laura’s life will be held at a later date, providing an opportunity for those who knew and loved her to gather and honor her memory.
Laura’s spirit, characterized by her love for adventure, creativity, and caring for those around her, will continue to inspire and be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
