Samuel Christopher Vigil was born on April 25, 1937 in Alamosa, Colorado to Pete and Eloisa Vigil and passed away at his home in Denver on August 5, 2019. Sam was preceded in death by is parents and 12 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Christiansen; brother, Joe (Vera) Vigil and many other family members. Sam graduated from South High School and honored our country by enlisting in the United States Air Force in February,1957 and served honorably until his discharge in January,1961. He was a proud member of the American Legion. As a long time Denverite Sam worked in the construction industry and helped build the iconic Casa Bonita Restaurant in Lakewood.
