

Bronius was born and raised in Lithuania before immigrating to the United States in 1949 with his family thru Boston, Massachusetts. He joined the US Army where he was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. Bronius worked for 30 years for American Can in Hillside. He was an accomplished accordion player, playing for the Lithuanian Dance Troop and he was fluent in multiple languages. Bronius enjoyed fishing and everything having to do with the beach.
Bronius was predeceased by his siblings Victor Statkus and Eva Skudzinskas.
He is survived by his beloved wife, of 31 years, Jeni Schoenfeld, son David Statkus and his wife Kathy of Phoenix, AZ and his sister, Ruth Tursa of Long Branch. He is also survived by his brother in law, Bruce Schoenfeld, of Lakewood, sister in law Randi Polinski and her husband Steven, of East Brunswick and his niece Emily Kraus and her husband Tim, and nephew Andrew Polinski.
A chapel service will be held at NJ Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, on Friday, November 1 at 10:30am. Those wishing to follow the funeral procession to the cemetery are welcome to meet at the funeral home between 9:15 and 9:30am.
