

Toms River - Carlos Adolfo Trujillotovar passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. He was born on June 7, 1973 in Cartago, Colombia. He graduated from Perth Amboy High School in June, 1992. He received a BA from Stockton University in August, 2000. In May of 2014 he received his MA from Seton Hall University. His graduation from the FBI Academy, Quantico, Virginia, was in 2017. Carlos served honorably in the United States Army, Reserve and National Guard, graduating Officer Candidate School, Class 44, on July 8, 2001. He was a Captain in the Major Crimes Unit, at the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, where he was employed for 24 years.
Carlos was predeceased by his father, Carlos E. Trujillo. He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly, and his sons Jared Alexander and Jase Brandon. Also surviving Carlos is his adoring mother, Lorna Tovar; his brother, Jaime Puentes; his three sisters, Lucia Collazos and her husband Carlos, Liliana Paez and her husband Reinaldo, and AnaCelia Trujillo and Alvaro Castano. Carlos's nephews, Christian Paez and daughter Ariana, Jeffrey Paez and son Ryan, Bryan Paez, and Kevin Collazos will remember a doting Uncle. Angela Richer and Roland Richer also mourn the loss of their nephew, Carlos. He will also be missed by his 4-legged best friend, Diesel.
D'Elia Funeral Home, Lakewood, is in charge of the arrangements. A private service will be held at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
