Catherine M. Fenton

Catherine M. Fenton age 83 of Lakewood passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood. Born in Lakehurst, NJ she was a lifelong resident of Lakewood, NJ. She was a homemaker and Mother. Mrs. Fenton was a member of the Golden Circle Senior Citizens Club and enjoyed doing lighthouse jigsaw puzzles and going out to lunch with her friends. Mrs. Fenton is predeceased by her parents William Morey and Viola (nee Morey) Brosen, brothers, Stanley and William, sister, Becky Havlick, son, Lawrence C. Taylor in 1993 and beloved husband Lewis in 2005. Catherine is survived by her daughters, Pat Taylor and her life partner Kathy Jensen and Martha Hughes-Jarvis and her husband Bob, sons, Jonathan Taylor and Robert Taylor and his wife Nancy, sisters, Martha Johnson and her husband Norman and Louise Wilkerson and her husband Tom, 2 sisters-in-law: Betty Fenton and Lynn Morey, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many friends especially her best friend for the last 65 years, Evelyn Lemmon. Visitation will be Thursday at the D’Elia Funeral Home, Route 70 & Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Her funeral service will be 11AM Friday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River, NJ. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Catherine’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation or the charity of your choice.
