Catherine V. Martin

Catherine V. Martin, 77, passed away July 21, 2011 at Shore Meadows Nursing Facility in Toms River. Mrs. Martin was born in Philadelphia and lived most of her life in Germantown, Philadelphia. She attended Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls where she graduated in 1952. Later that year she married her late husband Robert K Martin Esq. She also attended Delaware County College where she attained her RN in Nursing. Catherine was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernia and the Colleens Societies. She loved her politics; she was an avid member of the League of Women Voters Association as well as a member of the local Republican Committee. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister and will be greatly missed by all. Mrs. Martin is predeceased by her husband Robert K in 2003. Catherine is survived by her three children, Carolyn J. Falcone and her husband Stephen of Media, PA, Dianne R. Vogelman of Toms River, NJ, and Robert K Martin Jr. and his wife Val of Middletown, CT, eight grandchildren, Melissa, Katie, Ashley, Sarah, Josh, Alex, Jack, and Julia, one sister, Joan Walsh and one brother, John Hilbert and his wife Cindy. Friends may call Monday, July 25, 2011 from 8:15- 8:45AM at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 9:15AM at the St. Luke’s Church in Toms River. Entombment will take place at Media Cemetery in Media, PA.
