

Donald James Conlon, of Lakewood passed away on Monday, April 20th at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Don was born on April 15, 1934 in Jersey City, NJ. He graduated from Snyder High School in 1952. Don played baseball for Snyder High School and enjoyed being an umpire in his spare time. He was a veteran of the Army and spent time in Korea. Shortly after the army, Don met and married his forever and best friend Doris Grady Conlon in 1956. Don and Doris then moved to Cliffwood Beach, then Sayreville to raise their family before settling in Lakewood at The Fairways. During his working years, Don worked 25 years for Shopper Charge Accounts in Jersey City and then work at the American Education Institute in Basking Ridge. Don loved to play golf and enjoying many nights at the View Pub at the Eagle Ridge Golf club. Don was a die-hard Red Sox and Green Bay Packer fan. He was a devout Roman Catholic and loved spending time with family and friends. Don's favorite saying was "Live, Laugh and Love" and that is exactly what he did.
Don leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, his Children; Brian Conlon, his wife Nora Coan, David Conlon, Keith Conlon, Donna Fox, Maureen, and her husband Craig Kobrin. Sister; Pat Conlon Otersen and Brother, Bob Conlon and his wife Ida Conlon.
Don loved everyone, with a special love for his grandchildren - Jessica, Erin, Kara, Meghan, Kelsey, Sean, Brandon, Ryan, Patrick, Kieran, Russell, Derek and his 7 great grandchildren. He also loved his numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the present circumstances interment was private with a service to be scheduled at a later date.
