

Born in Philadelphia, he was a resident of Turnersville for 49 years until relocating to Pemberton Borough 3 years ago. Don was a former television director for WCAU in Philadelphia. He enjoyed cooking, boating, and was an avid fisherman. Don was a devoted husband, father, and an outstanding grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mildred A. (Baccari); a son, Douglas A. Matticks and his wife Donna (D’Alessandro) of Washington Twp., NJ; a daughter, Marla M. Quagliato and her husband Gregory of Springfield, NJ; a brother, Robert Matticks and his wife Marie of Philadelphia, PA. Grandfather of the late Kristy, he is survived by his grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew, Carly, Evan, Christina, Douglas, II., and Marissa; and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, Rte 70 & Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. His funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the St. Mary Of The Lake Cemetery, Lakewood, NJ.
