Donna Marie Emmino Whikehart

Donna Marie Whikehart (nee Emmino), age 51, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood, NJ. Born on December 1, 1965 in Brooklyn, NY, she was raised, and married her husband on Staten Island, NY. She was a former resident of Staten Island, NY before moving to Toms River 12 years ago. Donna was a Registered Nurse for Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NJ, and had previously provided care at the Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Donna had an adventurous, and bubbly personality. She loved to bake, and to travel to new places. Donna was a compassionate, and caregiving person. She was a devoted mother who gave her life to her boys. She is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years Dean; three sons, D.J., Michael, and Nicholas; her parents, Marie and James Emmino; a sister, Lisa McNutt; a niece, Caitlyn McNutt; 3 brothers-in-law, James Whikehart and his wife Marlo, Neil Whikehart and his wife Jennifer, John Whikehart; and a dear niece and nephew by marriage, Damien and Sabrina Whikehart. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Cremation will be private.
