Francis J. Butler, age 88, of Toms River, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at the Van Dyke Hospice Center in Toms River, NJ. Born in Elizabeth, NJ on October 17, 1923, he was the son of the late Beatrice and John Butler. Francis was a retired U.S. Post Office mail carrier for the Short Hills, NJ Post Office. He was predeceased by his late wife Irene in 1998. He is survived by a brother, a sister, and his nieces and nephews. He will be laid to rest on Thursday, October 11, 2012 in the St. Gertrude Cemetery Mausoleum in Colonia, NJ.
