Born in Jersey City, he resided in Union City before settling in Palisades Park 74 years ago.
Prior to retiring 5 years ago, George was a mechanic and owned United Jersey Autobody in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ for 40 years. He also owned a tow truck company and enjoyed working on custom cars. George was the Treasurer of American Cruisers and an original member of the Rag Tops Car Club in Bergen County.
A Navy veteran, George served on the U.S.S. Bennington and travelled all over the world.
Surviving is a brother, James; 4 nieces: Jayne, Andrea, Sharlene and Debbie; and a nephew, James.
