

John “Bubba” Edward Delaney, age 50, of Jackson, passed away Sunday at the Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was a resident of Howell and Jackson for most of his life. Mr. Delaney was a former construction worker. He was a music enthusiast and a fan of the Grateful Dead. Mr. Delaney also enjoyed flea markets and auctions. He will be deeply missed by his beloved dog Kira. Son of the late James and Margaret Delaney and uncle of the late Shane Graham, he is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Kimberly (Haverlan) Delaney; 3 sons, John, Luke, and Cody; 2 sisters, Margaret Graham (Jeff) and Arlene Peterson; 3 sisters-in-law, Ellen Parliament (Dennis), Diane Haverlan, and Jean Barber; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Haverlan (Cindy); a niece and two nephews, Amanda, Jeffrey, and Dylan; and numerous other relatives. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to John’s family.
