Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY; Mr. Romano lived in Brick for the last 19 years.
He served in the Army during W.W.II and received the Bronze Star. He was a Marine Designer and worked on various naval vessels before retiring in 1986.
Pre-deceased by his brother Ralph, he is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth of 63 years, 2 sons, 2 daughters, and spouses, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 23 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home, Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave; Lakewood, NJ 08701. A Funeral service will be held Friday June 24th at 10:30 am, Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd; Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
