Linda Francis, a cherished mother, grandmother, and the guiding light of her family, entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2026, passing away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family and her lifelong partner, Rueben Kerr.
Born on September 4, 1935, Linda lived 90 remarkable years filled with love, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she treasured most.
Linda’s early years were rooted in the beautiful parish of Saint Ann, Jamaica, before she later moved to Kingston, where she continued to grow and build the foundations of her life. She lived in Kingston until migrating to the United States on October 28, 1983, embracing new opportunities while remaining deeply connected to her Jamaican heritage.
Linda was known for her gentle wisdom, boundless generosity, and calming presence. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone she encountered feel valued, heard, and loved. Her home was a sanctuary—filled with warmth, laughter, and the traditions she lovingly upheld throughout the decades.
She was the proud and devoted mother of Juliette, Carl, Ian, Dawn, Elaine, and Cindy. Linda’s legacy expanded through fourteen grandchildren, eleven great‑grandchildren, and two great‑great‑grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her life. She also leaves behind beloved brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and steady strength.
Linda’s life was a testament to grace, courage, and deep faith. She faced challenges with quiet dignity and found joy in life’s simple blessings—family gatherings, heartfelt conversations, and watching new generations grow. Though Linda is no longer with us in body, her spirit continues to shine brightly. Her love remains an everlasting light, guiding all who were fortunate enough to know her.
