Lucy Guzman

Lucy Guzman, 64, passed away September 6, 2015 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. Mrs. Guzman was born and raised in Lima, Peru before moving to Linden, NJ, Avenel, NJ and finally settling in Lakewood, NJ in 2003. She always loved being around children, serving as the lunch aide at the schools and as a babysitter in the community. Lucy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lakewood. She loved to watch her favorite TV shows, listen to music, dance, get her hair and nails done, scented candles and lotions, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter and will be greatly missed by all. Mrs. Guzman is predeceased by her sister, Orieta and beloved dog Rocky. Lucy is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jose, children, Maria Virgilio and her husband Thomas, Susan Manfre and her husband John, Nataly Lucy Garcia and Brian Guzman and his wife Meagan, grandchildren, John Jr., Marissa, TJ, Nicholas, Nina, Christian, Matthew and Lucas, mother Brigida Vargas and three siblings, Cimy, Luis and Flor. Celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 5-7 pm at the First Baptist Church, First and Clifton Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Cremation will be held privately.
