Beloved wife of Robert S. Cheatle, Sr. for 70 years and cherished daughter of the late Paul and Mary Alvino. Ever devoted mother of MaryFran Galloway (Drew), Robert S. Cheatle, Jr (Nancy), Brian Cheatle (Nancy), MaryBeth Gelwicks (Jeff), and Tom Cheatle (Jodi).

Dear sister of the late Samuel Alvino and Margaret Smith.

Loving grandmother of twelve grandchildren and great grandmother of ten great grandchildren.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, MaryEllen resided in Freehold, NJ for 27 years and relocated to Lakewood, NJ in 1999. Throughout her adult life MaryEllen dedicated herself to her family and was active in the local Parents Teachers Association throughout her children’s school years, and president of the New Jersey Women’s Clubs in East Brunswick, Freehold and the Fairways in Lakewood.

Her best times were spent at her second home in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

A private gathering to honor MaryEllen will be held for immediate family.
