Born on September 14, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY to Philip and Anna Miehm.
Miriam attended the Katharine Gibbs School, where she received secretarial and business training. She built a successful career as an Executive Secretary for many years before starting her own secretarial business while living in Scotch Plains.
In 1999, Miriam moved to The Fairways in Lakewood, where she became an active and cherished member of the community. She enjoyed playing golf, cards with friends, and Bocce, and she participated in many of the social groups within the community. In her 80s, Miriam discovered a new creative passion for watercolor painting, a hobby that brought her joy and a renewed sense of expression in her later years.
Miriam was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ralph (1990). She will be dearly missed by her four loving children: Ralph (Debbie), Lisa Rachlin (Roy), Philip (Karen), and Steve (Debbie). She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and joy.
Miriam will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
